For this project, we were commissioned to design three custom boxes for Rifai, created specifically for their stores in London, Paris, and Beirut. Each box was developed as a site-specific design, celebrating the individuality of each city while forming a cohesive collection when presented together.
The creative direction focused on translating the personality of each location into a playful and contemporary visual language. Through bold colors, expressive illustrations, and carefully chosen details, each box reflects the rhythm and identity of its city — from the elegance and structure of Paris, to the vibrant energy of London, and the sunny, laid-back yet chaotic feel of Beirut.
The inspiration behind this approach came from the idea of place and experience. Since Rifai’s sweets are often associated with sharing, celebration, and tradition, the packaging was designed to feel joyful and inviting, while also serving as a collectible object unique to each store. The result is a set of custom boxes that feel both culturally rooted and modern, offering customers a visual journey that complements the flavors inside.
